Is War Between Turkey and Israel Inevitable?

Late last month, We Are All Front ran an episode arguing that the growing hostilities between Israel and Turkey had not just reached the point of being a Cold War, but that they were increasingly risking it going hot in one very specific country, Syria. And what can we say? We did not miss.

Last week, Israel bombed the Abu al-Duhur air base in Syria over what it believed was an impending Turkish military deployment there, something that Ankara firmly denies. Regardless of who's telling the truth, the potential for escalation is hard to ignore.

Turkish forces saw Israeli aircraft heading due north, and had they determined the aircraft to be inbound toward Turkish airspace, they could have scrambled fighters to intercept them.
