The Taliban Are Losing Control of Afghanistan

Something is brewing in the high hills of Afghanistan, and it spells trouble for the ruling Taliban government. On the 1st of August, the organization was delivered a message by a little-known resistance organization, the Afghan United Front, otherwise known as the AUF.

The message wasn't written in ink, it was written in blood, with a wave of attacks unleashed across Afghanistan, each one with the Taliban squarely in the AUF's crosses.

The attacks were well-planned, well-coordinated, and brutally effective, and since the 1st of August, they've only continued. We're only weeks away from the five-year anniversary of America's desperate Afghanistan withdrawal and the fall of the capital city of Kabul. But now the Taliban's fragile rule over Afghanistan is at increasing risk of coming apart.
